SHOCKING: It is absurd that worst “WRONGKING” is still practiced in many Divisions in 2022
Have you ever heard the teacher-made term “wrongking“? This term means bad ranking or not following the ranking list. This means heads do not follow the usual ranking list of applicants. Teachers used this word to refer to how bad the ranking set-up in a certain division is. This usually refers to hocus-pocus in the ranking result of applicants.
If you are not a teacher then you may not relate to this term but if you are one, then you understand. The applicants upon application undergo several processes before the appointment. To most teachers, “wrongking” is not new to them since the school heads or officials do this. Wrongking is the term used when a teacher gets hired even though she is way too far from the rank.
If the heads will follow the proper protocol, teachers should get hired by ranks. It means if you are in the lower rank then you have to wait for the highest rank before you could get an appointment. Yet, in the case of many, this is not happening. Wrongking is the practice of other school heads or division heads.
This “wrongking” system is the worst nightmare of teachers who worked hard to get the job. Many teachers who are good enough did not get the job because of this practice. Teachers who are way too far from the highest rank can get the job because they have someone in the higher position. They do have backers that will make sure they get hired even if they are not on the higher ranks.
Teachers thought that this practice has long been gone yet it isn’t true. It is still practiced nowadays and way much trendy. Other school heads accept bribes in any form. Sad but true and this is reality. Wrongking in many divisions is real whether we like it or not.
How can the government stop this system? In our country where everything is too slow, this is a nightmare. If only the government will take a good look on how their teachers are doing. – Avril | Helpline PH
