Wows! Places under Alert Level 1 Is a Big Achievement

Alert level 1 was declared on May 9, 2022, for elections in Metro Manila. Does this imply that there are no COVID-19 restrictions? The national elections will be held on May 9, 2022, with millions of voters expected to vote. The lowest alert level in Metro Manila is alert level 1, which signifies that all businesses and people are authorized to work and perform activities in full on-site or venue capacity.

Despite the fact that declared alert level 1 during the elections, people should adhere to public health guidelines such as social separation and mass gathering. The Capitol will remain on alert level 1 until May 15, 2022. 

According to the Secretariat of the interagency task force for the management of emerging infectious diseases, or IATF, alert level 1 exists in other provinces as well. If provinces, highly urbanized cities, and independent component cities are counted, there are 944 cities and municipalities in the country that are on alert level 1, or 57.75 percent.

May 9, 2022, has been designated as Alert level one. Teachers who will serve in the upcoming election should not be confident that COVID-19 did not exist. Teachers should be extremely cautious to avoid COVID-19 infections because they are the front-liners in every precinct and meet several people who vote. Some people came from other locations and crowded places.

The guidelines under Alert level 1 are the following:  

  1. The use of plastic or acrylic barriers and dividers in the establishments is optional.
  2. The use of digital contact tracing applications is also optional.
  3. Work from home arrangements under level 1 is also optional.

All restaurants and indoor and outdoor venues are operating at 100 percent capacity under Alert Level one. Is it permissible to go out at Alert Level 1? Comorbidity, for example. Because of 100 percent of the work capacity, people of all ages and comorbidities are allowed to go out, and public transit is also authorized to run if the journeys are exclusively to destinations in level 1.
