100% implementation of f2f classes next school year
The Department of Education (DepEd) is eyeing the full implementation of face-to-face classes nationwide this incoming School Year (SY) 2022-2023.
“Sa next academic school year, ine-expect na natin na fully 100 percent na talaga ang pag-implement ng face-to-face (In the next academic school year, we’re expecting the 100 percent implementation of face-to-face [classes],” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said in a Laging Handa public briefing.
Meanwhile, Briones emphasized that the modalities of face-to-face classes may differ depending on the various factors.
“Magka-kaiba sa mga ibat’-ibang sitwasyon ng mga lugar at depende sa LGUs at assessment of DOH and assessment of the DOH (Department of Health),” she explained.
Briones said schools are urged to resume face-to-face classes as long as the protocols set by government agencies are followed.
“Basta may clearance galing sa DOH, LGUs at the consent of parents, tinututuloy na ang face-to-face classes (As long as there is clearance from DOH, consent of LGUs and parents, we will continue the implementation of face-to-face classes),” Briones said.
