Harry Roque volunteer to assist Next DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte
Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque offers to assist in the Department of Education (DepEd) to help Sara Duterte as the next secretary.
Roque stated in his statement that he is willing to volunteer at DepEd under Vice President-elect Sara Duterte’s direction even if he does not receive compensation
” Kaya ako po ay mag vo-volunteer na maging very active sa department of education in whatever capacity I might be able to help,” he added.
Roque is subject to a one-year appointment ban for campaign losers.
Roque said that one of his goals was to help the newly elected vice president and a department secretary.
“Hindi po ako hihingi ng sweldo. Hindi po ako hihingi ng titulo dahil may appointment ban. Ang gusto ko lang ay makatulong dahil nandiyan naman po ang sinuportahan ko na vice president,” Roque said.
Roque is close to Duterte and has shown his willingness to back the next vice president.
