BBM vows to increase teachers’ salary if elected president
Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. vowed to increase the salaries of teachers if he wins president in May 2022 election.
Marcos said the programs for teachers would boost their quality of life and will help them to provide the highest quality of service to their students.
“We need to provide our teachers with all the necessary support because they are the ones molding our young students to become better, responsible and productive citizens who in turn would become the country’s future leaders,” Marcos said in a press release.
Marcos also vowed to provide free training and scholarships to their children.
During his term as senator, Marcos pushed for a higher salary for teachers with Senate Bill 3016 or the Public School Teacher’s Salary Upgrading Act.
